Volunteer for Glen Echo Park’s Winter’s Eve

Glen Echo Park is hosting its annual Winter’s Eve event on the evening of Saturday, December 14, 2013, from 6 – 9 pm, and volunteers are needed! This winter themed event features arts and craft activities for families, and a hot cocoa bar with fresh popped popcorn. There will also be open studios, storytelling by the Capital Accord Chorus and glassblowing demonstrations. The Holiday Art Show and Sale will be open as well.

Volunteers must be 13 years old or older. Volunteers that are 11 – 12 years old must volunteer with a parent or adult. We expect volunteers to commit to at lest a 3 hour time slot. This is also a great opportunity for students to earn community service/SSL hours.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Set up and decorating from 3:30  6:00pm
  • Helping at various arts and crafts activities, 5:45 – 9:00pm
  • Clean up after the event 9:00 – 10:00pm

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Jackson Frazier with your availability and preferred activities at jfrazier@glenechopark.org or call at 301.634.2233.

Please join the fun, support the Park, and have a great time too!
